An update is available to Version 8.0.523 (19-Aug-2025)

The changes (taken from the update log) are:

Restored status message when loading scripts or workspace scripts. To abort loading script now press and hold Ctrl+Alt instead of Esc.

To cancel operations that display a progress bar, now press and hold Ctrl+Alt which replaces the Cancel button, if any. This is more reliable than the Cancel button.

All tools (clone, paint, smudge, etc.) now display an hourglass cursor when you re-open their transformation dialog box until they finish rebuilding the image.
