Export command amnesia

Post by tomczak »

I was saving a few versions of the same image to a custom folder using Export command. Not sure if this how it is supposed to work, but I had to navigate to the custom folder each time I invoked the command. I was thinking that maybe remembering the folder within a session could be better, if possible? Or better yet, the Apply button in the Export command dialog box - this way the box would not close and multiple version of the image could be saved in one invocation.

One way around this is the create a Batch/Export transformation instead of using the File/Export command. This will remember the custom folder and you can use the Write File button to do the export. I will look at making the custom export folder sticky for the next release (assuming of course that the folder still exists).

You should also be able to use the Load/Save Settings from the Settings menu to save/restore all the export settings.

Finally, if you use the Ctrl-R shortcut to reload the last settings you can restore everything the way it was for the last export.

Any of these methods preserves all the other settings as well as the folder name.
