Warp lock to respect deliberate dimension swap

Post by davidh »

A question about new Warp locks.

To get a special warp effect I sometimes swap warp Width and Height dimensions of an image in the landscape mode with the purpose to compress and distrort the crop to a portrait mode. After that I overlay the distorted crop into an input image in Composite.

With the latest PWP version the warp dimensions were automatically reset to preserve the landscape mode with all the consequences to following transformations.
This is not a problem as I just reswapped the warp dimensions and everything got repaired. And after saving and reopening the workspace, the repairs were kept.
So it seems to be limited to the process of PWP reinstalling.

Here comes my question. Will checking "Lock Scale, Vary output image size" keep the swapped dimensions after new instalation or will they be "corrected" again?
The default "Lock Output image Size, Vary Scale" does not seem to be the one to do it.
If neither of the locks will protect the user swap, there should be some other way to do it.

I could find by myself by reinstalling but I am posting it for case where neither of the locks will preserve the user "illogical" entry.

Once you have corrected the problem and re-saved the script or workspace script, as long as you lock the output size it should stay the way you set it since the output size is now saved in the command line.

I think I have fixed the problem of incompatibility with pre-existing scripts for the next release.
