Copying and Pasting between Google Docs and PWP

If I copy an image inserted in Google Docs, PWP doesn't seem to recognize that there is anything in the clipboard, and Paste is grayed out. I thought it was maybe a browser problem, but copying the image first to Google Keep and then to PWP works fine. Going the other way - copying an image from PWP to Google Docs also works fine. Would anybody have any insight on how that may work (or why it doesn't)?

Programs place objects on the clipboard in one or more clipboard formats. PWP only recognizes V1 or V5 Windows bitmaps which is the most commonly used format for clipboard images. Apparently Google Docs is using some other format.
