Image browser jumping to end

Post by BobP45 »

Would it be possile for the image browser to retain its position after for example closing one of its image files. When I do this, it jumps back to its original position at the top of the list (in this particular case, image 45 when I was working on image 31). Then I have to horizontally scroll throuth the browser images to get back to where I was. I find it kind of annoying.
Thanks.

Fixed for next release. Closing a top-level image now makes one of the adjacent images current.

It looks like you may be trying to use the image browser like the PWP 7 version. In PWP 8, the image browser is intended to show you all the files you currently have open, not all the files in a folder. Every image in the PWP 8 image browser is open so you need enough memory to load all of them at the same time, along with the memory for any new images you create from them. If you want an image browser like the one in PWP 7, try the free image management program FastStone. You can drag thumbnails from FastStone to PWP 8 to open them.
