The Smudge Tool does not work (since Beta 04-October-2019 ?) no longer.
The brush disappears after the first klick. Just the hair-cross is visible.
Moving the cross has no effects.
I guess it might be a side-effect/glitch of implementing the tablet support.
I have no tablet installed on my system.
