Banding in Gradients
Something seems amiss in the gradients. See banding in image. This was a 16-bit gradient, but 8-bit looks similar.

Not entirely sure what you mean, but I don't see banding here. This could be caused by your monitor calibration. Or, since you are using Filter, it could be in the input image.

I'll measure the pixels in the image and let you know if it's not a display artifact I'm seeing. Thanks.
