Mask Gradient control points do not show

Mask Gradient additional control points are not displayed when the mask is reopened using Edit command or loaded from a script. The color line is always in the default Black to White even when created as Reversed. However, the mask overlay seems to be correct.
But knowing the position of the control points it is next to impossible to edit the Mask. It has to be recreated.
