I'm ready to upgrade to the latest PWP release.
Which install is more "sure fire that everything works" or "stable" or other similar conservative, play-it-safe criteria?
What are the specific benefits of the 64 bit build? And also drawbacks, bugs, any missing function, etc.? Same for the 32 bit build?
If it matters, I have a modest Windows 7 machine (Core i3, 4gb RAM soon to be 8gb).
Thanks much in advance! - Scott
PWP 6 - Install 32 or 64 bit Build?

Re: PWP 6 - Install 32 or 64 bit Build?
The 32 and 64 bit versions are virtually identical. The big advantage of the 64 bit version is that it supports much larger images and allows many more windows to stay open. If you create panoramas this can be a big plus. Its only drawback is that scanning is currently via the 32 bit version (but there is a menu choice to make this easy). There is no difference in stability.

If one installs the 32 bit version, can one reinstall the 64 bit version later with no additional charge?

Yes. The PWP 6 serial number gives you access to both versions. In fact you can install both at the same time. They are independent and do not interfere with each other.

Not to belabor the obvious, but the 64-bit version requires 64-bit Windows.
