An update is available to Version 8.0.559 (30-Mar-2026)

The changes (taken from the update log) are:

File New: fixed the way image width and height are calculated if units are not pixels.

Fixed problem with reading V5 BMP files in some cases.

Eliminated the hourglass cursor previously displayed during calculations. Instead, the Auto Recalc button icon is changed to an hourglass during long operations – this indicates Picture Window is busy and unable to respond to user input. A new bitmap requires a full install.

As of this post, the version number on the download page needs a bump up from 8.0.558 to 8.0.559.
