I would like to open the image compare transformation on an image, from which two derived images are created in different branches after a splitter.
Currently, PWP does not allow to select images in the split branches when the comparison is launched from an image in the trunk above the split.
I would like to quickly compare the base image with variants after the split.
File compare from a root image A before split branches.

To do this you need to place the compare transformation after one of the variants to set Image A and compare it to the one it was derived from by selecting it as Image B.
Another way is to use the Copy transformation to create a new top level image that is a copy of the base image and then insert a Compare transformation after the Copy to compare the base image to one of the variants.

It would be nice if these extra steps were not required.
