I have several TIFFs distributed across various subfolders. I would like gather them all in a Workflow window to process. Workflows can do that, but I don't want to go fishing for them by hand. The way I figured would work is to use a file finder or manager (I use NirSoft's SearchMyFiles and the TotalCommander) to find and group them first, then drag and drop them onto Workflow window in PWP.

The file drop in PWP fine, but many of them display Error, zero size and are reported as unreadable. What am I doing wrong? Is there another way of automating somewhat gathering files from across different folders into the Workflow window to process them?

I can confirm this behaviour.
As long as all images belong to the same directory, it works fine.
It seems to be just a problem with drag-and-drop to a workflow.
Drag-and-drop to PWP main window does not show this behaviour.

Workflow window does accept files from any number of folders. However currently files within a single drop must all be from the same folder. Files from multiple folders can be dropped by using multiple drops. We can consider extending this to support dragging form a search result in a future maintenance release.

In addition, a whole folder can be dropped into the window. In that case all images in the folder and its subfolders are added to the workflow window. This is convenient for adding files from a camera card, since all one has to do is drag the root folder to include all images on the card.
