Printing left/center/right question

It looks like when select the horizontal print alignment to be 'right' the print actually comes out on
the left side of the paper. Is this a quirk of my Epson 1430 printer?

As always, Many Thanks!

It looks OK here when I output to PDF or my laser printer.

I assume the preview in the Print dialog box looks OK. If you orient the printed page to match the print preview it should match.

When I look at the print menu, I have been assuming that the bottom of the image would print first, ie, just like the paper would feed into my printer.

That is not the case. The top prints first. So if I look at the print menu image and mentally rotate it so that the so it would feed into the printer first, then the align left would make sense - when the print happens, the left side of the image now is on the right side of the printer where I want it to be.

So... I need to remember that the top prints first and that I need to mentally flip left and right.

Thanks!
