Line Arrows Text

Post by Marpel »

Latest version.

I can't seem to get the Text part of this Transform to work. When I enter a text in the box, it does not show on the image, nor does the "bounding box" or whatever that is called (away from the editing computer so can't confirm). Even when I add text and press the red running man, nothing shows. Transparency is default 0% and color is black.

Initially was using the Text standalone Transform, but when reading the Help, it referred to LAT so thought I would give it a try. Text, and box, shows as anticipated in this Transform but not in LAT. Looked in the associated Help file for some guidance but could not find something that would correct the issue.

Unlike Text, LAT as you call it can place multiple, independent text boxes on an image. Each text box is aligned to a control point so you can position it on the image. Thus, before text will appear, you need to create a control point to tell it where you want the text by shift-clicking on the input image. Optionally you can add a line or arrow to the each control point as well.

Although the help file does mention this in a couple of places, I understand your confusion and will see if I can make it any clearer.

Aah, got it, thanks.

I should also mention, the last few times I have tried to view the Forum page and/or add a post, it takes an inordinate amount of time to either open the Forum or submit a post. When clicking to open the Forum or "submit" a post everything just freezes to the point that I have closed out to try again later. In this most recent occasion, I typed out the initial post, clicked "submit" and everything froze. After a number of minutes, the page disappeared and I received an error message (504 I think). When I later checked however, the post actually showed up in the forum even though I thought I had lost it.

I view/submit in a number of other site forums without issue and DL-C is the only one I have issues with. Is there a setting or something I am missing to mitigate this problem?

Periodically the message board is bombarded by huge numbers of bots which brings down performance dramatically. When they go away it is fast again. Not much I can do -- I've heard other web sites have been having similar problems in the last few months.
