The File New window does not seem to be moveable.
It would be nice if on choosing "Set Default Directory" the current default directory were displayed.

The File New window is moveable, but you need to drag the part of the caption bar that displays "File New". For the next release I made the dialog box a little wider.

When Set Default Folder starts up, it is set to the current default folder.

For me it is a little bit less than optimum to to have "Set the default directory" under "File" and to have the "Set Default File Save Options" under "File Preferences rather than setting all the default file save options under, say, Preferences.
