An update is available to Version 8.0.315 (17-Aug-2022)
The changes (taken from the update log) are:
Monocolor (Special Effects): added a Method setting (Soft or Hard).
Readout Tool: closing Color Picker now unchecks Show Color Picker in Settings menu. Added check for coordinates outside the current image and fixed some other issues.
Brightness Curve: fixed problem with Amount slider not working right after starting up the transformation.
