Script fails at Multipass sharpen transformation with cryptic message : "Amount apply - input image does not match output images dimensions"

What does the Amount Apply have to do with an image's dimensions ?
Why many output images ( plural ) ?

Way to recover:
Open the transformation, move the amount to 100%, apply and close.

This is an internal error message. Fixed for next release -- will upload shortly.

Plural is a typo
