When using the "show image only" view, it would be convenient to propagate the current zoom and pan display to upstream and downstream transformations. Thus, it would be easy to see the effect of each transformation along a branch of transformations, while using the up and down arrow for navigation along the branch.

A little-known but useful feature:

If you hold down the Alt key when clicking on a thumbnail in the image browser, the new image inherits the zoom/scroll settings from the previously current image, assuming it has the same dimensions in pixels.
