Color Balance

Two questions,

- (this has nothing to do with C.B.) Occasionally, I will use Photoshop and sometimes generate a layer or two. Prior to saving, I flatten the image. If I then open that image in PWP, it opens with a small icon (similar to an icon that is generated in PWP after a transformation) beside the image icon in the Browser, labelled "Transparency" and appears to be a black and white version of the image. Any idea why this is occurring??

- In Color Balance, I have two images shot in the same environment that, due to a change in lighting (sun etc), one is a bit off from the other. I do a Color Balance with one image to obtain the required result, but why can't I use Color Balance on the other and use "Copy Last Settings" to get a match to the first? When I try this, no change takes place. Is this not what that setting is for?

The transparency mini thumbnail represents a transparency layer if one is present in the image file and if PWP can read it. In Photoshop, this corresponds to a selection on the image. You can reference this transparency layer as a mask from other transformations, although I recommend waiting for the next release which fixes a problem with this feature

If you are using auto white balance, copying the settings will not produce identical results if the images are different. Also the last settings are only recorded when you click OK. If neither of these are the issue, please send me a workspace script so I can see all of your settings.
