Digital Light & Color

Certainly has been quite a while since I used PWP, but I don't remember v7 revealing this anomaly when masking...

I brought up a saturation transformation, and then went into masking. I used the color range tool to select the sky, then hit the Feather button, moved the slider to 10, and clicked Apply. The red mask on the preview (left) side disappeared; the underlying mask was still there, but I couldn't see it. I obviously couldn't see the feathering either. It doesn't seem like this should happen. Am I doing it wrong?

No, it's not supposed to do that - fixed for next release.
