What is the meaning of the inverted red triangle in the upper-right corner of almost all messages? It's bracketed by two black dots. Unfortunately it's not mentioned in the FAQ's.
Thanx

Re: Viewing Messages
I can't find any mention of it either, but I think it may be marking messages that you have not read yet. There is also a white triangle which I believe is for reporting posts to the moderator. This also seems to go away after you have read the message.
What browser are you using? I think some of the visual artifacts may be due to IE.

Re: Viewing Messages
I'm using Firefox. I think the only post that doesn't have the red triangle is Kiril's welcome message. As far as I can tell, all the others do.
And I just noticed that my original post in this thread has *three* black dots flanking the red triangle - two on the left, one on the right. But your reply has the customary two black dots. So maybe the dots help me identify my own posts?

Re: Viewing Messages
The white triangle shows 'Report this post' when you do a mouse over. The red one doesn't give a message.

Re: Viewing Messages
In IE7 there is only the white triangle with a red ! to see. and the possible lowest point of another triangle.

Re: Viewing Messages
In IE8, all the triangles and dots have disappeared on my screens.
Re: Viewing Messages
After posting a message, they all came back.
Re: Viewing Messages
Wow - I've noticed a change. Now the white triangle is animated (turns red when cursor is pointing at it) and all the dots have disappeared.
