Den,

I have tried your suggested method, including the making of a mask, and "Eureka" it appears to resolve the problem of the shaded single pixel at the edges of the Overlay image within the Input image. They are now razor sharp. Once one is familiar with this newest technique, the process doesn't take any longer than the one point alignment method in the Composite Transform (it might even be quicker) and it also allows for the various blending modes to be used. Exactly what I was after.

Interestingly, however, is the close-up view (like 24:1) and comparison of the resultant image with the original Overlay image. It appears the white border cuts off view of one line of pixels along the top edge of the Overlay image as the resultant image shows another line of pixels that the Overlay image does not (as I noted in a previous post in this thread). But, as my main issue has been resolved, I'll leave that for another day.

Thanks very much Den,

Marv
