Extra line on Brightness Curve?

I thought I'd to go back to using the PWP Raw convert - instead of RAWTherape as it could save me time.

I used it to brighten up a problematic .dng which also had a strong yellow cast.

When I called up the Brightness Curve I found a vertical line I had never seen before. What is it telling me?

Apparently there is a large area of pixels with the identical gold color, probably due to some kind of clipping or banding.

It was rubbish lighting so sounds logical.
