This is not a critical addition, but it would be nice to have a new text tool that would only be used for adding the base file name to an image.
It would be nice if it could have a set of 'sticky' parameters that could be used to set preferences, such as:
- location: left, center, right, top, bottom
- font size
- text color (black/white/red/green/blue/cyan/magenta/yellow/'best effort'
- text back ground color (colors as above + transparent)
Thanks for considering this!

Re: feature request
You should be able to do this now using the Text transformation.
If you click the Macro... button you can select the filename, pathname, or extension of the original pathname.
All the other parameters you can also set. You can either save the settings as the default for Text or save the settings in a file such as Filename Label.text, using the Settings Menu. Then you can then reload the settings at a later time to label the current image with its filename.
Alternatively, you can make the Text transformation a snippet and just insert it whenever you want to label an image.
The location you specify for the text will be mapped to the same relative location for any image to which the transformation is applied.
