Mask menu issue

Post by johnp »

Jonathon -

I used the Mask Transform to create a couple of masks. After a bit, I wanted to tweak them,
so I re-opened the Mask transform , then opened the mask I wanted to tweak. It looked fine, but...
when I tried to use either the feather or blur tools, the sliders did not work.

I quit out of that particular mask, then tried to create a new one. The feather and blur sliders work for
it. I then quit out of it and went back to my older mask, and they still don't work, they just stay stuck
at mid-range.

I then went back to the new mask, and they work.

So it looks like if I create a new mask, then leave the transform and do some other, then come back, at least
the two items I mentioned don't work.

I can try some more experiments if you need them.

Thanks!

When you re-open a mask it is restored to the state it was in when it was closed. Before any mask is closed, any pending operations are finalized. Thus, when you re-open a mask, the last operation is in a finalized state. For mask tools such as feather and blur, to edit the finalized mask you need to first click the Mask Undo button. This will undo the finalization and let you change the settings.
