An update is available to Version 8.0.256 (6-Dec-2021)

The changes (taken from the update log) are:

Multipass Sharpen, Sharpen/Sharpen More, Unsharp Mask, Adjust, Raw Develop: changed the Sharpen Threshold slider to let you specify a gradual threshold rather than a sharp cutoff. This involves the creation of a new Picture Window control called a Threshold Slider which is used in the relevant transformations. Sharpen threshold sliders now run left to right instead of right to left, consistent with the way they process differences between the input and sharpened images.

Removed threshold sliders from Blur/Blur More, Gaussian Blur and Precise Gaussian Blur as these were confusing and not particularly useful.

Gradual thresholding is amazing ! ... this and the halo control bring the transformations to a new level.
