Crash in Composite - Hard Light

Post by MarkT »

I've been able to repeat this crash using various images in the process.

Open two images. Use Composite and overlay with alignment - 4 point (or 3 point, or 2 point/scale...). Blend with Hard Light, then change the overlay amount to any value less than 100%. It takes a second or two, but then crashes.

Tried this with other blending modes and it doesn't happen. Even setting the overlay amount to 60% in another blending mode, then switching the blending mode to Hard light causes the crash.

Fixed for next release. This fails only for 24-bit color images, so a temporary fix is to convert to 48-bit color.
