Warp non-rotating option

Post by tomczak »

The grid in Warp can be Rigid, Rotate Only, or Free. Would it be practical to add something akin to Unrotated, or Translate/Scale Only?

Rigid works fine for translation only, but when I want to scale is as well, I don't seem to be able to grab sides. Dragging corners scales while keeping rectangle proportions constant, but also rotates the grid rectangle and it's hard to keep it straight.

Maybe dragging any side in Rigid mode could scale the rectangle while keeping proportions and the angle constant?

Thank you! Out of curiosity: if Warp rectangle is rigid and un-rotated, would the result be equivalent to un-rotated cropping (i.e. not resampled)?

Warp always resamples since it does not require that the grid is aligned with pixel boundaries.
