Color Profile Conversion pop up window in Batch

If in Color Management Settings, On Profile Mismatch/Batch is set to Convert, and RGB Assumed File Profile is set to None, a Confirm Profile Dialog is popping up when the current file is changed in File Open batch list.

If, instead of None (or a profile different form the working space one) the RGB Assumed File Profile is set to the same Color Profile as the working color space, such popup is suppressed.

This is for the files with no embedded color profile.

I forgot to mention that the reason I report it is that the Conversion popup control is quite persistent and difficult to kill.

Another instance when the same thing happened, outside of Batch processing, was when I tried to open several top level images in one go - I didn't know how to correct my mistake other than going through Conversion decisions for all of them.

Not seeing this here -- FYI setting the Assumed File Profile to sRGB is the same as setting it to None -- if you do this does the problem go away? If not, please send me a workspace script which will include all of your color management settings.

Yes, if the working color space is also set to sRGB.

If the assumed and working color spaces are the same, it will never ask to convert image files with no profile, so that is not a good test.

If the Working Color Space is set to AdobeRGB, Assumed Color Profiles is set to sRGB, On Profile Mismatch is set to Ask on Mismatch and On Profile Mismatch Batch is set to Convert, and the images have no embedded ICC, the Conversion Popup continues when changing the selection in File Open batch list or when opening more than one top Image at once (for each image being opened).

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are doing -- what I think you are saying is that when you run a batch process based on multiple files that have no embedded profile, it is asking when it should be silently converting. Or, are you saying it asks when you make one of the images from the list in the File Open current by setting the red dot. Or maybe some other scenario?

Batch running is fine and does not bring up the Convert popup window. It is changing the current image in the batch list (red dot) that brings the dialog.

Another scenario was when I first noticed it: opening several top level images at once - for each image being open, the Convert popup window appears and prompts for confirmation. I couldn't figure out how to prevent it from popping up for each image being open or how to kill the whole process - not a problem for a few images, but I happened to inadvertently open some 30 of them at once (and not as a list in a batch - with Open Multiple, when Convert window appears just once for the first image).

The color management setting only applies when a batch job is actually running -- currently the same setting that applies to single File Open applies to multiple File Opens as well.

Maybe for multiple File Opens there could be a way out somehow (Cancel only cancels Convert for the current file being open, and the Convert pops up for each subsequent file). I didn't know how to cancel the whole process and start anew...

For the list of batch files in File Open, that's probably the same issue - when a file is made current with the red dot, it invokes the Convert dialog each time a change is made, which slows down things quite a bit).
