Just an esoteric idea related to choosing a colour for fonts that depends on their surrounding background: if 2D histogram can enumerate colours, maybe a mean or a median colour of a 2D histogram could be exported to Palette Tool?

I was thinking that something like this could be possible - I just cropped and blurred the test image multiple times - then if such a colour could be exported to Palette Tool, then its brightness can be adjusted with the Brightness Slider in Color Palette control.

And since Histogram Tool can remain open along with the Crop control dialog, that could allow for finding the 'dominant' colour of any fragment of the image.

The Palette Tool + Color Palette can already do something similar, but it's limited to 9x9 probe size.
