Because I can read words more easily and rapidly than I can decipher icons or read their tooltip hints, whenever I have the choice, I use the main menu rather than the main toolbar icons. If I could, I would hide the main toolbar and also the image browser toolbar. Being able to hide specific toolbar icons would be a helpful alternative. For me, the toolbar icons are a visual distraction almost without function that occupy valuable screen space. Some of the icons directly replicate existing menu items. Others could logically fit under new menu items named "Tools" and "Display". My reason for writing this is that I love PWP with its power combined with clean, logical, and efficient simplicity and I'd like the program to maximize these qualities.
