Enhancement Request: Lookup tables

PWP is really good regarding Colormanagement to reproduce "real" colors.
But today many people talk about special looks of an image.
These "looks" are mostly achieved by applying some kind of lookup tables.
There exists many different formats for these kind of tables; *.look, *.cube, etc.
Even icc-profiles can be considered as lookup tables.

Therefor I kindly ask for a lookup table function:
- to apply "standard" lookup-tables
- to create lookup tables in one of the most popular formats, i.e. *.cube or *.look

Lookup tables can also be used to change the colors of movies.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention -- I found a specification for .cube files online and it should not be hard to read them. There are two types - a set of 3 1-D lookup tables and a 3-D lookup table.

A set of 3 1-D lookup tables is equivalent to Color Curves in RGB.

The only current PWP equivalent of a 3-D lookup table is within an icc profile, and it would be possible to convert a cube file to an icc profile.

I can also imagine a set of 3 transformations that could work with cube files. First, a transformation that creates a test image consisting of color patches. Second a transformation that creates a 3-D lookup table from a version of the test image to which some set of transformations has been applied, and finally, a transformation that applies a 3-D lookup table to an image -- this could work with existing cube files.

Sorry to bring in this, but I think it's related to lookup tables. At least some of the tools in google edition of Nik Collection works that way, I think. That few years old collections, are still available and free from google. Link can be found at bottom of this page. Look for the text google.com at bottom. http://www.dataporten.net/nik-collection-1-gratis/

After installing go to "File"-"Plug-ins" in Picture Window and set the Nik plugin folder to
C:\Program Files\Google\Nik Collection

Of cause I know the Nik Collection and have installed the DxO-Version on my system.
To my opinion the "LUT-Approach" is a more general one and can also be used for editing of movies.
For example:
The tint transformation does a good job for images. I like the "AGFA Record Rapid"-look for BW-images. But how to colorize a movie in this way?
With a LUT in the *.cube-format you can also colorize movies by applying the LUT by using a good movie editor (for example DaVince Resolve).
A slideshow-program (Aquasoft Stages), with some movie-editing functions brought the LUTs to my attention.

For the next release, I have added support for .cube files. I downloaded some .look files and examined them, but this format appears to include a lot of proprietary information over and above a 3-d lookup table. Also, I have not found any documentation for the format, so for now it is only cube files.

1-D cube files can now be loaded or saved from the Color Curves transformation (in RGB mode).

There are two new transformations that let you create, load, save or apply 1-D or 3-D cube files.
