When I am looking at fairly subtle changes made by a transformation, I wonder if it would be helpful if transformations possessed a fourth viewing option in addition to the input image, the potential output image, and the side-by-side view of both. The possible fourth would be a superposition of the input and output with a sliding partition so that input is to the left and output is to the right. This fourth viewing option would be nothing more than what is provided by the compare "transformation", but its existence would significantly streamline some of the adjustments that I make.
