An update is available to Version 8.0.125 (1-Aug-2020)

The changes (taken from the update log) are:

Mask: Clicking Apply when using the Flood Fill tool no longer switches back to the Freehand tool. When using the Flood Fill tool, Shift-clicking on the input image instead of just clicking on it applies and pending mask operation before doing the flood fill. This lets you perform several flood fill operations in a row without having to apply each one.
