Re: Clone-Tool Issue with Cloned Side Branch

CloneProb1.jpg CloneProb2.jpg A couple more examples of the Clone Tool inadvertently streaking up and to the left. I was holding the mouse button down and was moving the mouse back-and-forth quickly (with a high transparency) each time this happened. The abrupt end of the streak was due to the sour...

Re: Clone-Tool Issue with Cloned Side Branch

Shift-clicking seems to work. Thx. Might be imagining it, but it seemed to work without that at some point. Another bit of feedback. On PWP 7 the Speck Removal tool was my go-to for reducing face wrinkles in portraits (selecting a path along the wrinkle, using Lighten Only option, and clear skin eac...

Re: Clone-Tool Issue with Cloned Side Branch

Not sure. I've seen it a few times though. The first time I thought it may have been an optical mouse glitch, but is seems to be PWP Clone Tool specific. When I have seen it I was using a high transparency value, and was repeatedly cloning over an area with differing source locations. On a maybe rel...

Using the Clone Tool again and on occasion the tool flies off to the upper left on its own. See attached screenshot.

These images hopefully are readable. The workspace file is attached in zip format. When I exited PWP 8 and restarted with the workspace file, only the erroneous cloning result appeared in both branches.

Just saw this problem where the cloned side-branch does not exhibit the same Clone-Tool results as the original. The images illustrate the problem.

Re: Paintbrush and Other Masking Quirks

Thanks.

Another usual PWP 7 step for me when prepping an image for posting online is to resize both the image and masks (for selective sharpening tweaks usually). Is there a convenient way to resize masks to reuse on a resized image in PWP 8?

Paintbrush and Other Masking Quirks

When painting a mask with the paintbrush, the loci of points, shown during a stroke, changes slightly when the mouse button is released. Compare the two screenshots. The first is the representation of a paintbrush stroke prior to releasing the mouse. The second is the stroke representation after the...

Where is the Change Profile Transformation?

It's probably right in front of my face, but I can't find the Change Profile transformation. Also, is there a way to use the phpBB's search function to search for a phrase, i.e. "color profile" - quoted words don't seem to work. On the topic of profiling, I have two monitors, with two cust...
