Re: Grid in Workflow Preview

Sorry -- I didn't notice that the question was related to workflow. You are correct. For technical reasons, grid is currently not supported in the workflow image and preview windows.

Re: Grid in Workflow Preview

To use the grid:

Select the Window to be gridded. It can be a preview or image window.

Slect Window/Grid from the main menu.

Set the number of grid divisions and click OK. (The default is 1, which shows no grid lines.)

Re: Photo Filing System

The main advantages of the method I outlined above is that it is simple and automatic. However it stores image by just one attribute -- generally the date. So if you want to categorize images on more than one dimension, you need something in addition. Of course cross-referencing schemes usually requ...

Re: Photo Filing System

If you want to organize photos by date, you can do so automatically using Picture Window workflow. A workflow for sorting images into folders by year and month is part of each Picture Window installation. The workflow is called MoveToDateFolder.wfl and can be loaded into the workflow window. A sampl...

Re: Cropping an Image

They are just additional filters. The filters now are: All images All images except rejects OK images only Selected images Landscape images Portrait images I also added a 'Force landscape orientation' option to the Save file widget that you had proposed. This option causes it to save images as lands...

Re: Cropping an Image

I have added two more filters to workflow for the next release. The workflow can now be applied to Portrait Images or Landscape Images. These filters are in addition to filters for All but Rejects, Selected Images, and OK images.

Re: Cropping an Image

I should add that there is a way to edit both landscape and portrait images in one stream. In the training image, set the 'Proportions' orientation to whichever orientation is the most common. Then during processing, change the orientation if necessary during breakpoint processing. You can use eithe...

Re: Cropping an Image

Thank you for posting the screen shot. The reason the rectangle realigns is that you have chosen Landscape under proportions. This choice supercedes the 'align with image orientation' choice. (The choices are incompatible, so one or the other has to take precedence.) Currently there is no way to set...

Re: Cropping an Image

This does not happen when I try it -- the crop rectangle is stable. I am using the following settings: Align crop to image orientation; Scale Crop Rectangle and Scale Borders. Since crop has many other settings a well, perhaps you can send me a screen shot of your crop dialog.

Re: PWP v7.01.17a ?

The only difference between PWP 7.0.17 and PWP 7.017a is in a feature that affects the trial version only. Otherwise they are identical and thus if you are using PWP 7.0.17, there is no reason to install PWP 7.0.17a. We will soon be releasing 7.0.18. When we announce it, you will want to upgrade to ...
