Re: Mask and operation time issue

OK, written is easier to write and a lot easier to edit to keep up to date.

Re: Seeking suggestions on best workflow

My suggestion requires manual intervention on each image. 1) Convert the original to 8-bit black and white, save a copy, and then carefully clone all the birds and their trails out of the image by copying adjacent sky over them. 2) Invert both images (Transformation/Gray/Invert). This should leave y...

Re: Probes interact for multiple dialogs in display & Misc

3) The readout tool was not designed to retain its settings between sessions. I fixed the problem where you could probe outside the main image area, and added a Display 0..255 option to the Settings menu for the next release. 10) The scroll/readout/magnifier/histogram modes are mutually exclusive by...

Re: Mask and operation time issue

This is why I probably need to do a few video tutorials -- there are a number of hidden features that can make life a lot easier.

Bug fix release 4-Apr-2018

I have posted a new release (4-Apr-2018) in both full version and executable-only. The only reason to download the full version is to get the latest version of the help file which mostly has some cosmetic edits and information on File Back and File Save As. The changes (taken from the update log) ar...

Re: Mask and operation time issue

You can make up to four masks without a transformation using Transformation/Masks. The resulting masks can then be selected from the Amount control when you need them. PWP8 is definitely more of a memory hog, but the performance should be roughly the same as PWP7 although at this point I have not sp...

Re: "Save As" functionallity from PWP7

I take your point -- I will figure out some way to let you choose to save in the last save location or in the folder the file originally came from. I am reluctant to use the name "File Save" for this as in other Windows programs this saves over the original file which, in the case of PWP 8...

Re: Cannot locate Monitor Curves file: None

I was actually surprised when I looked at the code that there were two different ways to get to Monitor Curves - they seem logically to fall within color management and the File menu is pretty crowded so I removed the file menu version. You make a good point about workflows, but the same could also ...

I have posted a new release (3-Apr-2018) in both full version and executable-only. The only reason to download the full version is to get the latest version of the help file which mostly has new information on Composition Guides.
