Re: DNG file weirdness

I just checked our DNG test files. They are working correctly. How did you generate the DNG file you were trying to open.

Re: Non-destructive photo editing?

As Jon says, most operations in Picture Window are non-destructive. They result in a new image which does not overwrite your old image. Here are some other points that are worth noting: You can close intermediate windows -- they are generally cached in your temp folder when you close them. If you ne...

Re: New Picture Window Update

Make sure that you have the latest version of the manual. The last update was on 6/3/2015. (The date appears on the Title and Contents pages of the manual.)

The detail control sliders are discussed on page 91 of the Manual as well as in Help.

Re: New Picture Window Update

Actually automatic balance is the default. It is indicated by the Status column next to the color patches. When the status is 'Auto' the color to be subtracted is sensed automatically. Auto mode is available for highlights and shadows. Setting your own color by using the color picker or clicking on ...

Re: crash when invoking Color Curves dialog

I am not able to reproduce the closure problem. Please send me your e-mail address (to support at dl-c.com) and I will send you an instrumented version of PWP that hopefully can detect the problem.

Re: Can't use Misc Tools when Browse window is open--bug?

Janet, During a session, the window opens at the position in which it was last closed. So if you had it at the extreme right when Browse was closed, it is probably opening beyond the right edge of the screen. (When browse is open and docked at the side, the workspace is narrower.) You should be able...

Re: stacking images in median mode

Jon has added Median as a new method to Stack Images in the next update of PWP. In addition, Stack images will accept up to 16 images to allow averaging over a larger number of exposures.

Re: Workflow - Rotate sugestion

Dieter, The issue that I see in rotating all images to landscape and then saving them is that the operation is one-way. The operation destroys information and it is then no longer possible to distinguish landscape and portrait images, except manually. Would that be a problem in your intended applica...

Re: Workflow - Rotate sugestion

My first thought is that perhaps there is a tablet slide show app with a display option to show images aligned with the display. If so, that would solve the problem. You could select 'don't rotate screen' option in the tablet and then display the images, rotating the tablet as needed. If the above i...

Re: easy slide show?

You can display images in slide-show fashion from the browser or the workflow window. To play the images, just click the Play button in the Browser or Workflow toolbar. You will be able to choose to play all images, selected images, etc. During the playback of images, you can double-click on an imag...
