Good idea.
I have v6 and it does NOT seem possible to save in 6, either.

Re: Two suggestions for frquent actions
I like the idea of a left clicking zooming to 1:1 and dragging moving the magnified image.
I wonder also if the scroll wheel could very the magnification.

Re: Tool Shape
Marv, My preferred method it use the paint brush a little casually going over the edges and corners and then to remove the excess with the 'flood fill' tool, or the 'colour range' tool or a smaller soft brush. Not suitable in every case, I know, but solves the described problem by dealing with the c...

Re: Aligning Photos of Anular Eclipse
Ray, If I were you I'd align this largish number of shots using Alan Hadley's CombineZP available here: http://www.hadleyweb.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/CZP/Installation.htm. This is free software which works wonderfully well BUT only handles 8 bit images. The software is designed for focus stacking but I'...

Re: text transform not functioning
Ahh! - yes. I'm familiar with that problem. Very puzzling it is too.
Having gone through all this pain you're certain to remember it next time it occurs.

Re: text transform not functioning
Is this the first occasion that you've tried to use Text in the 64bit version?
If so, I suggest that you un-install and download a fresh file and re-install.
If you've been using the 64bit version for some time AND text has been working, I'd suggest un-installing and re-installing.
Good Luck!

Den,
Just to let you know that there is great interest in what you have posted - however I'm a bit pressed at present so am unlikely to find time to do it justice for a while. But I'm looking forward to increasing the depth of my understanding of this whole subject.
