Re: PW 8 newbie question

Thanks for the tip, but I just can't seem to get it to work or to understand how to work with image windows in version 8, since it is so different from previous versions. I can relate to the hesitation - before Jonathan even materialized the PWP8, I just wanted to stick to PWP7 'forever' as I knew ...

Compare and 'double' Image B label

It all makes sense, but it confused me at first as I haven't used Compare for a while. There are 2 labels for Image B: one showing the name, the other used as a label the for the thumbnail to select the image B. I was thinking that having just one label for both could be more intuitive?

Histogram and Input and Output comparison

I was trying to compare the histograms of the input and output of an open transformation. I figured that it's possible to toggle histograms by Shift-clicking on the Amount Slider square when the Preview is set either to Output or Side by Side. I wonder if it would make sense if the Histogram tool ha...

Re: White balance

What's the RGB reading of the pinkish background? I imagine you're using colour mgmt - what's the working space? Do larger colour probe or higher white thresholds improve things?

Re: Raw develop transformation : delays computing mean image

I believe this is the same phenomenon as described in this thread: https://www.dl-c.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3741 If you reset all settings in Raw Develop and then adjust what you need but leave alone the Sharpen Tab/Sharpen Factor = 1 slider, the Mean Image recalculations should go away. Alternat...

Re: Adjust and Sharpen Factor = 1

I tried and I'm getting it to read 1.00 relatively easily, but perhaps the internal precision of the value is higher than the one displayed and that's why it keeps recalculating, as it's not exactly 1? p.s. When I stretch the control box and Shift-Ctrl-click on the slider to move it by one pixel, th...

Re: Display input/output preview side by side and zoom

Great. I just want to say that alt-click on previews is consistent with alt-clicking between transformations which also preserves the zoom factor.

Display input/output preview side by side and zoom

Is there a way to keep the zoom factor when switching between input, output, and input/output side-by-side preview? It seems that, for example, if the preview is zoomed to 1:1, and I switch from input to output the zoom is maintained, but switching to side-by-side the images are zoomed to fit (also ...
