Re: HDR processing option for PWP?
Right, thanks Pierre. I had forgotten about Expand Dynamic Range. Although I remember trying it in 2023, I found the results weren't what I was expecting so I haven't used it since. I tried it again today, and remembered why I wasn't fond of it - the limitation of using only 3 images. Many scenes th...

Re: HDR processing option for PWP?
I was thinking more about an augmented form of Stack Images.. load a series of images and then run exposure fusion on them.

HDR processing option for PWP?
I know nothing about how to implement something like this, but one of my students used ChatGPT with a series of images to produce an exposure-blended result. I tried this myself and see that ChatGPT used something called "average exposure fusion" to process the images. A quick search turns...

Re: Update Available - Version 8.0.490
Thank you.
(I read the help file, but only as far as to how to edit and add values... just one paragraph short)
Again, a nice, elegant solution.

Re: Update Available - Version 8.0.490
An elegant solution to be sure, thank you Mr. Sachs!
However... the values added to the list via the "Edit Custom Proportions List" are not retained for future sessions. The list is empty when I close PWP and re-open the Crop transformation in a second session.

Re: Saving Custom Crop ratios
Good idea Maciej, thank you.
That's three clicks instead of two ;-), but does the trick. For the amount of times I create 'new' crop ratios this will suffice.

Saving Custom Crop ratios
Well, reading the reviews of the new Fuji GFX100RF camera, and their decision to make different cropping modes quickly available via a command dial, it got me thinking about the list of cropping ratios in the Crop Transformation. I use the custom option from time to time, and wonder if it would be p...

Re: Using Denoise before Mulipass Sharpen
So I tried the trial version of Photo Ai 3.5.2, which does not allow for file saving. But based on the preview, I thought it was interesting that when TIFF files (generated from NEF files in Nikon NX Studio with no NR) were used in Photo Ai, they made the noise, especially chroma noise, worse. When ...

Re: Using Denoise before Mulipass Sharpen
I have been using NeatImage for a long time and find it very good at dealing with noisy images.

Re: Copying skin tones
Quick note about the palette tool. If the option to display "in main image area" is checked when the image is less than full-screen, the palette colours are fully displayed in the bottom-right corner: palette_01.jpg When the image is zoomed in and scroll bars become visible, the palette co...
