Re: Hue Saturation Transformation
I'm not sure how I can explain this any more clearly, but try reading this as you seem to be focused on a model of how transformations work that is different from how they actually work. In Hue-Saturation, the so-called Affected Region is defined solely by the selection in the color histogram and no...

Re: Hue Saturation Transformation
The Show Affected Region checkbox applies only to those pixels selected by the color and brightness histograms. For these selected pixels, the sliders do show changes and the region changes when you change the selections in the histograms. The mask is ignored as far as Show Affected Region is concer...

Re: Double Amount sliders in Brightness Curve
This change was made back in Nov 2021 after I modified Brightness Curve to have two sets of settings, one for the masked (white) and one for the unmasked (black) areas. Since these two collections of settings are totally independent, it requires dual sliders to control their relative strengths separ...

Re: Curves, masks and multipass local contrast enchancement vs. Adwanced Brightness Curve
Using Brightness Curve followed by Multipass Sharpen is very similar bit not identical to using the Brightness Curve Advanced option. While Advanced Brightness Curve was originally conceived as a way to preserve detail that might otherwise be lost when applying strong curves, you can use it to enhan...

Re: Brightness Curve and probe tracing
The Histogram tool can do this (click the Histogram button in the main tool bar). It has a separate eraser button to clear the accumulated red lines. For the next release, I fixed the problem of the dual histogram probe showing up on the wrong histogram. I also changed the way the probe works so tha...

Re: browser images display horizontally
When you new image files, they are arranged horizontally as top-level images. As you add transformations, they are arranged vertically below the image they operate on. Transformations that do not have an input image also are created as new top-level images -- this includes transformations such as La...

Re: Hue Saturation Transformation
I think you may not be using the latest version as I believe I fixed 1 and 2 in the 6-July update.
