Perfect - any changes made in a tool like Brightness to a previously created mask locally modifies a copy of the original mask.

So...

I make a 'base' mask early on use the Mask tool.

Later, in the Brightness too, I use that 'base; mask. If I modify it while in the Brightness tool, does the original 'base' mask get modified or do the changes only apply within the Brightness tool?

I typically make some masks I know I will be using with the Mask tool. I frequently then would like to make a 'derivative' mask, that is, tweaking a mask I have already made and saving it as a new mask without altering the 'base' mask I started with. I could see this simply adding 'new' mask to exit...

When I bring up the Lines, Arrow, Text tool, the title box for it says "Line and Arrow Tool". Should it include "Text" for clarity?

Although not really needed... it would be to have a histogram of the image and to have an indication as to what adjustment will be mad as I weak the contrast or midtone sliders. Maybe instead of a histogram, a display like in the brightness tool.

I don't want to be a downer.... but I think the current download method is fine. I'd rather see Jonathon direct his effort to new or improved algorithms.
