16-bit/48-bit support in PNG files?
Hello, I did a quick search to see if I could find some previous info on the subject, but other than a comment that PWP does not support greater than 8-bits/channel in a PNG file, could not find an explanation. Hello,
I searched the forum and the documentation but have been unable to find an answer.
Is there a method for opening PNG files with more than 8-bits per channel in Picture Window Pro?
Thanks,

Re: JP2 (J2K) format
I had a chance to try a cropped JP2 image using Irfanview. Unfortunately the non-registered version of the LuraWave JP2 plugin for Irfanview is limited to saving at 640x480. This size opens fine in PWP.
I'll look for something that will allow saving larger JP2s

Re: JP2 (J2K) format
Hi Kiril The smallest image I have is 387Mb, uncompressed. I will try cropping and it to see if that helps. I may be wrong, but it is my understanding that JP2 images do not have to be opened in at their full resolution due to a sampling/indexing technique built into the format. Therefore, opening i...

Re: JP2 (J2K) format
Hi Kiril, I am getting 2 errors reading JP2 files in PWP: "Out of Memory" & "Unknown error reported by LeadTools" I know the JP2 files I have are are good because I have opened them in other applications. The source of the images is http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/ . The images...

Count Colors for 16bit & 48bit images?
I'm using PWP 5.0.1.4
The menu choice "Count Colors" is not available for 16bit and 48bit images. Is there an alternative method for getting the # of unique values/colors in these images?
thanks

Re: Picture Window Pro Update
Hello Kiril,
I am not able to download PWP 5.0.1.3 at the location indicated.
There is a link named PWP 5.0.1.2, which I did download and install just in case the link name was incorrect. However, the link name is correct since PWP 5.0.1.2 was installed.
Regards,
Chris
