Color Profile Problems icc vs icm?

New computer, Windows 10 version 20H2, PWP 8.0.231 tif files created by PWP 8 and saved on old computer using Adobe RGB (1998) profiles throughout open fine. Script files for the old tif files that, themselves open just fine, produce the following messages: "Cannot find assumed color profile:: C:\\W...

Re: Masking and tools

Yes, I know there is a list of the keyboard shortcuts somewhere, but when immersed in working on an image, the effort of finding it is pretty high compared to proceeding without it. One click to see the list would be nice. One of my uses of a general PWP internal notepad would be to contain the name...

Masking and tools

Using F3-F4 in masking to control whether a mask is to be added to or subtracted from proves not to be as convenient as I had hoped. Two factors are responsible. First, the positions of F3 and F4 are such that it is awkward and tiring for me to hold my hand where I can strike them. Second, to determ...

Re: Splitter

I, myself, would prefer that, as it seems natural to me that the newest material is on the right. We write in that directioin, list numbers in that direction etc and so on.

Splitter

Some months ago we had a brief conversation on whether new images to the image browser should be added to the left of preexisting images or to their right. Left won out. In the interest of uniformity (newest stuff is on the left), wouldn't it make sense that the new branch introduced by a splitter b...

Selective Color

When specifying the color that is to be changed to, the tip of the arrow does not lie at the center of the cursor cross hairs, but a little shy of this point. It is easy enough to compensate for this discrepancy, but it would be nicer if the two coincided. In most situations, this minor difference i...

Re: Semi-precise Gaussian?

If the mask had hard edges, I've wondered about reducing the area of the image and mask a factor of 25 ( x 1/5 in each direction), performing a precise Gaussian on the resized image with the resized mask, then resizing the blurred image back to the original size, and finally using Composite with the...

Semi-precise Gaussian?

Sometimes I want to blur a background without bleeding and with a blur radius quite a lot larger than 64 pixels (Being faster than Precise Gaussian wouldn't hurt either.). Might a transformation be developed that uses the box filter blurring method as in Gaussian Blur with a mask that functions like...
