Re: All Good Things Come to an End

Jonathan, Kiril, Best wishes to you in whatever comes next. Thank you for this great product and releasing it as freeware. I am going to introduce this to my photo camps next summer. Thanks also to all of the members of the forum community. I've always said that the community here was the best featu...

Re: Switch to Mac

Isaac, I also apologize for being away from this thread for so long. Your location 5 looks promising. My sense is that the Wine app does not "know" how to look at the Mac system for information, but looks at its own simulated windows environment. But I have not been able to study Wine any ...

Re: Switch to Mac

Hello, I am revisiting this as I have found that there are times when I would like to use my (Mac) laptop to process pictures when I am away from my desktop. I can confirm that in the Wine version, with color management enabled, PWP does not see any color profiles that I place manually in the Window...

Re: Switch to Mac

Yes, I played with this some more after my post. It looks that you can copy the files into the location( I did have it after all), but the WINE file browser does not see them, and neither presumably does the Wine-based PWP. I then began to wonder if color management was coming through from the Mac O...

Re: Switch to Mac

Hi, In Snow Leopard, the monitor and other profiles are in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles. Can you copy those to the WINE directory? Hopefully Lion is similar or the same location. But copying into WINE looks like a challenge. I do not have the \Color folder in system32\spool and I'm not seeing an easy...

Re: "Pseudo" HDR?

You might also want to add -tiff16 to that command to get a 16 bit image if you want this. It used to default to jpegs but I have not checked the behavior in the latest version.

Re: "Pseudo" HDR?

Hello Dieter, In all of my reading on HDR I also see the use of a single RAW referred to as "pseudo". A comment is then made that a set of exposures is better. Usually comments similar to the ones you made are given, that is, that no new information is really added. I am often using HDR to...

Re: Which Graphics Card?

Hi, The OP also asked about dual monitors. I use 2 monitors and it is very useful. As far as I have seen, you can't set it up as asked with the picture on a screen and the controls on another. You just stretch the program window across both monitors and slide around the images and controls as needed...

Re: Multi monitor support?

Kiril,

I understand about opening the window across 2 screens and I have no problem with that. Is there any possibility of getting the program to "remember" to open that way each time?

Thank you

Re: Healing Brush

Hi,

I have Elements 7 and there is a healing brush in there. The speck removal tool in PWP does the same thing. I used it (PWP) extensively on a project last spring.

Cheers,
