I believe this transformation, introduced in PWP Pro 7, is an artistic tool, not a simple timesaver or gimmick. For your criticism, there is an example at

Procedure:

Code: Select all

1. Make a fairly strong watercolor image.
2. Combine with original via Subtractive Filter, 15%, excluding central area with a blurred mask.
3. Vignette with an oval gradient.
Credit if any must be shared with the lens, a Zeiss Sonnar C 50/1.5 at f/2.8. It was necessary to rouse the duck by tossing a pebble.
