A pure cosmetic question

Post by davidh »

Print dialog:
The field next to the Image Height is not large enough to display its content at full when the Scale is set to "to fit page" or "custom". Unlike the other two options, it displays a decimal digit to three decimal places. Why a decimal dpi? Why not rounded?

Since this is not new, and nobody has commented on it yet, it is even visible in the help printscreen, I wonder whether this has just been overlooked, is not worth attention, or has some purpose I am missing. In any way, the digit does not fit inside and without the hidden dpi looks a bit mysterious :).

I just noticed the same thing myself and have already made the dpi control wider so it does not cut off the text. Also sometimes it was displayed to 3 decimal places and sometimes to 2 so I made it always 2. It is occasionally useful to know if the print dpi is an integer or not.

There also seem to be problems with custom page size which I am working on now.
