Unable to open more than one image in browser

Post by Ian »

In previous versions of PWP I could select (Ctrl-click) several images in the browser & then open them as a group. With v5 I find I can only open one image at a time. Am I doing something wrong or have I missed something?
Thanks, Ian.

This works for me:
Left click on a thumbnail in the browser window.
Depress and keep depressed the Ctrl button while left clicking further thumbnails
Left click on one of the selected images and drag thumbnails into the main working area of PWP
Release the left mouse button
Release the Ctrl button.

In the toolbar of Browse is a button "Open selcted images" which opens all selected images.
The button looks the same as the "Open" button in the main toolbar.

I was using that button on the Browse function & that was the one that would only open 1 image at a time. Mike's suggestion of dragging the selected thumbnails onto the work area does work for me.

Just to be clear on how the function works. First several images. For instance, you can do that by control clicking on several different images. Selected images appear depressed.

Next click the Open images button in the browser window. The selected images will open.

Of course if an image is already opened it is not opened again. Particularly if an image is minimized, it will look like nothing has happened. Thus it is best to try this with no open images.

Magic! I just tried it & it worked this time. Don't know why but recently it didn't want to work for me even though I followed the prescribed routine.
