Re: Vibrance vs. Saturation and PWP's Color Correct transform
The *colorcorrect files in text format are certainly interesting (saves me some work to prepare them myself...., you already provided for the idea). For non-portraits I often use the Saturation transform with "preserve Low and High" setting. Like this setting in raw-conversion as well. You...

Re: Clone/Paint softness profile
""Build up" for the mask paintbrush is certainly a nice addition. But I hope the old mode is still available as well, as there are occasions where the build up mode is less desirable.

Re: Masks
Marv, Dieter pointed out how you can use a PS-generated mask in PWPro. The other way around: create the mask in PWP and save the mask as a file. Open the image file and the mask file in PS, select the image window. From the menu-bar: select - load selection. The PWP mask will be suggested as source....

Re: Exif-Data (Focal Length(mm)) is incorrect
Hi Winfried, I can't reproduce your observation. I also use a Pentax K5, firmware 1.11. When I convert a raw file in PWP6 and save as .jpg, the exif fields show e.g. "focal length 4500mm", "focal length 67mm (in 35mm film)". So the decimal point seems to have disappeared. This do...

Problem with tiff to jpeg conversion in workflow
Hi, I tried to convert a set of tiff images to jpeg images in a PWP 6.0 workflow. The tiff-files had been generated in PWP 6.0. The conversion is the only widget I use in this workflow: Output - Rename/File save. The workflow fails: no conversion, "xx images had errors". I tried the same i...

Re: Double-click to zero sliders?
There are several applications with this feature. I like your idea of returning to the last setting if you double-click again.

Re: Colour Balance
Hello Marv,
maybe you used the Colour Balance transformation with the options "enable auto white/black balancing with contrast extension". See the cb-window.

Re: Making a Print
A bit off topic, but maybe interesting nevertheless for those who print: When you know the profile of your inkjet printer or (chemical) photographic process, you can compare the color space of your print with the various color spaces availbable in PWP. The first figure is the sRGB space (wireframe) ...

Re: PNG files open as negatives
Mike, If I click on the .png picture in your link, I get a grey checkerboard pattern as background similar to that in e.g. Photoshop. This suggests, that the .png consists of more than one layer. I see an identical pattern if I open (many) .pdf's in Photoshop to rasterize them. The image sensor pict...

Re: DPI Q's
Because of my job I have access to many printers (Epson, Canon, HP and more), wide format and "normal" format. Keithrj's remark that you should print at the native resolution of the printer is correct. For Epson this is 180/360 dpi, for HP/Canon 300/600 dpi. In most cases, however, you wil...
